ANTI-AGING TREATMENT

ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS AND DERMAL FILLERS

Injectable cosmetic treatments are non-surgical procedures designed to combat the signs of aging, make skin appear smoother and eliminate unsightly marks on the skin.  At Sholema we also use injectables to help reduce excess sweating and improving the appearance of spider veins.

There are a number of reasons why you may need to undergo an injectable cosmetic procedure including:

  • Loss of natural volume on the face as a result of fat loss
  • Sun damage to the skin from excess exposure to the sun
  • Natural aging process leading to decline in collagen levels
  • Damage caused to the skin from smoking or excess alcohol consumption

Injectables can be used on almost any part of the body but the most common area is the face: from the nose to the angle of the mouth (the Nasolabial folds – or smile lines); the lips, to help enhance them; to help shape the cheeks, nose or chin and between the eyebrows (the Glabellar lines).

LASER SKIN REJUVENATION

Lasers are used to help you restore the face to a youthful, healthy appearance. Focused laser energy penetrate deeply to stimulate natural collagen production and reduce the appearance of imperfections by removing wrinkles, unwanted hair, rosacea, acne, pigmented and vascular lesions – with very high efficacy yet in a gentle, sanitary treatment of any skin type.

They are non-invasive and relatively painless, and are ideal for treating a wide range of skin concerns, particularly problems with texture and tone.  At Sholema we use FDA approved lasers for non-ablative skin rejuvenation treatments.

MEDICAL SKIN NEEDLING

Medical Skin Needling, also referred to as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) or Micro-Needling is aimed at stimulating the body’s own collagen production to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  It is also a very good treatment for stretch marks, restoring skin laxity and improving scarring caused by acne or chicken pox.  It has also been successfully applied to the indication of hair restoration in cases of alopecia.

At Sholema clinics we use an automated pen device called Dermapen. The Dermapen is used for improving fine lines and wrinkles on the face, neck and décolletage, to address and reduce the appearance of surgical, acne or trauma scars anywhere on the body.  It can also be used to treat other scarring such as stretch marks.

The treatment introduces a series of fine, sharp needles into the skin. The needles are attached to a cartridge of needles arranged in a circle at the end of an automated device.  This procedure encourages the body to produce new collagen and elastin, which generate new skin cells to repair itself; the skin becomes thicker, plumper and more youthful.  It is suitable for all skin types
